Built To Last
Sustainable and built to last. This is what I really want all of my customers to notice after purchasing any of my works of wood. I know that most people are happy to buy cheaper 'solid wood' products that will last perhaps a decade or two, but that isn't what I want. I've already written about why I don't make chopping boards from laminated wood, so all I need to append to that is to say that I want to build things that can last for generations and do my best to make them accessible to other people who appreciate this more traditional approach where profit is less important than quality.
It's early days still and as a young business in these tough economic times , it's all the more important that I get positive feedback from my customers to help me continue to grow and be sustainable. Not everyone who buys one of my works will appreciate how much has gone into the structural joinery , but I'm very grateful for any that do and I'm always happy to explain more about my products to anyone who wants to know.
For as long as I can afford to make wooden things that satisfy my own need for built to last quality, I'll keep going knowing that, even if it only amounts to a legacy of work that outlasts me, at least I can be proud of it while I'm here.
